Happy Monday Spec Trailer
The Project: Happy Monday started as a Facebook original series @happymondaymovie. We are currently working on turning this project into a feature-length film, and are currently putting together a spec-trailer for the second round of funding. Happy Monday is a dark comedy about the perils of the current day socio-economic situation in America, and explores the question of the idealistic ‘American Dream’.
The shoot: Monday March 20th
The Character: The Doctor is a quirky individual. He is a bit ‘out there’. He also exudes a questionable legitimacy as a licensed doctor, operating in a makeshift doctor’s office that caters to low-income, government subsidised healthcare. He didn’t fit the traditional norm of what you would think of a doctor, and gives the feeling that he is more interested in the pay over the patient, but also has an over the top fake exuberance for his work.
We are accepting video submissions at SimulationTheoryProductions@gmail.com, for the first round of auditions, after which we will be connecting via skype for a second round of audtions. Feel free to improvise and show your wildest side, as well as send a few takes you think best represent your vision for this character….
